Between Monday 30 November and Friday 18 December the porch comes down entirely — pumpkins, gourds, planters, hardware, every tie. You are not asked to be home, and nothing is left at the kerb.
The pumpkins are then driven to a farm in Loudoun County and fed to the pigs. Heirloom pumpkins make good feed — dense, sweet, and grown without anything a pig should not eat.
